Togouchi Peated awarded Spirit of the year 2023 !
We are proud to announce that our Togouchi Peated Japanese whisky has been awarded “Spirits of the Year” in the International Whisky category at the prestigious Spirits of the Year 2023 competition!
Organised by the magazine Cavistes & Co, this competition highlights the launches of spirits and aperitifs, evaluated according to criteria of innovation and market suitability, with a first selection by the wine merchants and a final deliberation by a jury of experts in the sector.
Launched in September 2023 on the market, this new expression of the Sakurao distillery is made from 18% peated malted barley. Togouchi Peated is a 100% Japanese whisky as it is distilled, aged and blended entirely at the Sakurao distillery. This additional distinction for the Togouchi brand underlines the mastered know-how of the distillery, which is based on a century-old expertise to elaborate with the greatest care outstanding Japanese whiskies.
