A new Togouchi Japanese whisky exclusive edition for the travel retail !

New 100% Japanese whisky

At the end of the year, the Sakurao distillery is striking a blow by launching its very first exclusive edition dedicated to the Travel Retail channel. This exclusive edition celebrates the arrival on the European market of the very first batches of the new Togouchi blend entirely distilled in Japan!

This new 100% Japanese whisky entitled “Kiwami Distiller’s Reserve” is made from a blend of grain and malt whiskies (15%), from barrels handpicked by master distiller Mr. Yamamoto. Grain whisky has the particularity of being made from unmalted barley grown in Japan, allowing the whisky to give delicious floral notes! Aged in Bourbon barrels in the heart of the old railway tunnel that has made the Togouchi signature famous, this whisky benefits from perfectly controlled maturation conditions. In this latest creation from Sakurao, we find the vegetal, fresh and crystalline profile so specific to the identity of Togouchi whiskies.

From the packaging perspective, we find the traditional imitation stoneware bottle, so particular to the Togouchi brand, referring to the jars used in the past to store shochu. However, the brand breaks with its usual codes of sobriety by sorting a giftpack and label adorned with floral motifs; A definite invitation to discover the rich and green environment of the distillery.

This launch is in the spotlight until January 2024 in the duty free area of Orly airport in Paris.
